Using the Excel MDETERM Function

Required. An array consisting of number with equal number of rows and columns. The array argument can be provided as a range or an array constant, such as {1,2;3,4;5,6}.


Usage Notes

MDETERM returns the matrix determinant of an array that is a square matrix containing only numbers. The function will return the #VALUE! error if the array contains empty cells or text. The #VALUE! error is also returned if the array argument does not contain an equal number of rows and columns.
